Drag Avenue is your opportunity to get up close to some incredible vehicles and their teams, to learn their stories and to get a feel for what this great racing tradition is all about – outright acceleration!
For perspective a Bugatti Tourbillon (hybrid internal combustion engine) with an 8.3L V16 engine paired with 3 electric motors can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.0 seconds and costs around £4 million.
One of our dragsters can accelerate from 0 to 100 mph in 1 second! ONE SECOND TO 100MPH!

Santa Pod Raceway is bringing a fun free-to-enter competition to Drag Avenue, made for budding young racers aged 7 to 14.
Inside the Junior Dragster marquee, young competitors take a seat in a real junior dragster and test their reaction skills against the Christmas Tree starting lights. Each entrant gets three attempts to record their fastest reaction time.
The competitor with the quickest reaction time across the weekend wins an unforgettable day at Santa Pod Raceway, including the chance to drive a junior dragster on the famous dragstrip. Full tuition and all necessary safety equipment will be provided.

Open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm
Three attempts per entrant

In the event of a perfect light (a 0.000 reaction time), a further attempt will be recorded as a tie-breaker.
A live scoreboard showing the event’s fastest reaction times will run throughout the weekend, and the winner will be contacted directly after the event by phone or email.
