The ‘Big Early’ KICKS OFF on the evening of Thursday 22nd August and allows you to arrive early to pitch your tent/caravan and get nicely settled in, before the festival begins.
The campsite doors will be opened between 4pm - 8pm.
We are very excited to announce that Costa Coffee will be back this August Bank Holiday as our official Coffee Partner and will also be hosting The Big Early for the second year running to get you in that CarFest festival spirit!
With a range of fun-filled activities there is something for everyone on Thursday evening. Settle into the campsite and enjoy a range of hot beverages from coffee to hot chocolate, get your face painted by Costa’s roaming face painter or relax with some giant garden games with the family, while you get ready for the Silent Disco with TikTok DJ Snowdream Music presented by Costa Coffee. And to wind down, we’ve also got Bedtime Stories with the amazing AJ & Curtis and Tash, Noah, Eli, Walt and Boo Evans.
*Please note that you cannot access The Big Early on the main campsite if you have booked with Hotel Bell Tent. Alternative entertainment will be available at Hotel Bell Tent on Thursday evening.
We all know that Dad jokes are the best right? Of course they are! Well, join Team CarFest’s very own, Luke and Al, who will battle it out to find out who is “Top of the Pops” and who will face the “Custard Pie of Doom” – you decide. Loudest cheers (or cringe) will not only win them the bragging rights of the millennium, but also the coveted ‘King of Comedy’ title.

These captivating tales will whisk your children away to magical worlds and inspire dreams before bedtime. So, gather your little ones, snuggle up under the covers, and let the soothing voices of AJ & Curtis and Tash and her kids transport you to lands where anything is possible.
Join these high energy interactive shows that are packed full of silliness and magic! With Disney sing-along, party games, magic tricks, funny actors and a Greatest Showman Show, the children will be whisked off on an adventure they will never forget.
Following phenomenal performances on multiple stages throughout the festival last year, the Scouts and Guides of Basingstoke Gang Show are returning to the Big Early with an energetic array of Camp Fire song classics to get the party started where audience participation is nothing but essential.
One of The Big Early’s favourites! Back by popular demand, our Silent Disco will keep you and the kids dancing throughout the evening – with three channels of great music to choose from, we’re sure to have some great tunes for you to get your groove on!
Plus we’ve also got a live session with Costa Coffee’s very own resident DJ… internet smash DJ Snowdream… and we may even put him up against AJ & Curtis and let you choose your favourite!
Brought to you by Costa Coffee and hosted by local radio hosts Luke & Elliott, this area will be filled with giant games, face painting, balloon modelling, bubbles and a sneak peak of the BugFest show letting the kids get close to creepy crawlies! Costa Coffee will also be offering some Costa Coffee Care Package Goody Bags prizes… will you do what it takes to win it?!

As the kids enjoy The Big Early and the sun starts to set over the campsite, the grown ups are very welcome to join Timothy Taylor’s at The BarFest Arms for a little tipple as we get ready to enjoy a fabulous weekend of fun!
The BarFest Arms will be open from 6pm until 10pm on Thursday for The Big Early.
