Six Olympic golds. One legendary cyclist. And this summer, he's riding down the Hamilton Straight, with your kids right beside him.

Introducing the KidsFest Cycle Dash, a brand new, once in a lifetime experience for CarFest 2026. A small group of children will get the extraordinary chance to ride alongside Sir Chris Hoy himself, on a fleet of HOY Bikes, down the very same stretch of tarmac where Formula 1 legends have taken the chequered flag.

Supported throughout by qualified Bikeability instructors, this is a unique opportunity to experience one of the world's most famous circuits with one of Britain's greatest cyclists.

WHO CAN TAKE PART

The Cycle Dash is suitable for children who can:

Ride independently without stabilisers, or confidently glide a balance bike unsupported

Start, stop and steer safely without assistance

The event is designed to be as inclusive as possible. A limited number of adapted cycles, supported by Wheels for All, will also be available for children who require them.

THE EXPERIENCE

Saturday 29 August – 1-2pm

Ride the Hamilton Straight at Silverstone alongside Sir Chris Hoy in a professionally managed experience supported by qualified Bikeability instructors and adapted cycle specialists.

With a limited number of pedal bikes, balance bikes and adapted cycles on offer, this is one of the smallest, most sought after experiences at CarFest 2026.
