CarFest 2026 will be filled with memorable moments, from the headline performances to witnessing world-renowned chefs cook up a storm at FoodFest to seeing your favourite celebrities at StarFest

But how about cycling alongside a true sporting legend?

Six-time Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy will be hosting the brand new KidsFest Cycle Dash, teaming up with Bikeability, England’s cycling training programme.

A selection of lucky children will get the extraordinary chance to ride alongside Sir Chris Hoy himself on a fleet of HOY Bikes down the Hamilton Straight – the very same stretch of tarmac where Formula 1 legends have taken the chequered flag. Festival founder and Virgin Radio presenter Chris Evans will also be taking part in the ride.

The ride is open for children of all abilities up to aged 15. To join in, children need to be able to ride without stabilisers, or confidently glide a balance bike unsupported, and start, stop and steer on their own. Bikes will be allocated during registration based on individual needs to ensure safe participation. It's an inclusive ride too. A small number of adapted cycles, including trikes, hand cycles, two-seaters and wheelchair transporters, are available through inclusive cycling charity Wheels for All and allocated during registration based on individual needs.

It will be a true once-in-a-lifetime experience for all those taking part. Successful applicants will be selected via a prize draw, exclusively for CarFest ticketholders.
