Sales Executive

We are recruiting for a dynamic and experienced Sales Executive to work on CarFest. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and eager salesperson to work on the UK’s biggest family festival and to develop in consumer event sales. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will sell stand opportunities to brands, traders, artisan food, lifestyle and motoring companies, as well as developing activation opportunities with clients to enhance the CarFest customer experience and build a dynamic commercial environment for our exhibitors and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• To identify and close new business opportunities
• To source new leads for the events to build and maintain the sales database
• To achieve, and ideally exceed, 100% of personal revenue target and support the team in attaining and exceeding team targets.
• Use initiative to help develop potential revenue streams
• To fully understand and absorb the features and benefits of all the company’s products and services and be able to properly represent them
• To primarily spend effective time on the phone, email and social media platforms generating new business prospects and, in addition, further developing relationships with existing accounts
• To attend relevant industry show opportunities in the UK
• To attend and account manage clients at CarFest, and other Brand Events shows in order to deliver CarFest to the highest expectations of our partners and exhibitors
• Produce daily/weekly/monthly reports on progress for the Commercial Director
• To assist colleagues with tasks such as managing the floor plan, contracts, the database, sales mailings, sales letters, bespoke proposals, sales reports, activity reports, features, and input into the strategy and content of the show.

Skills, Attributes and Experience

• Great verbal and written communication skills with the ability to demonstrate confidence and interpersonal skills over the phone, in writing and in person
• A new business generator, capable of finding and developing new business opportunities

Marketing & Digital Executive

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic, committed and creative Marketing and Digital Executive to work on CarFest, the UK’s biggest family fundraising festival created by radio presenter Chris Evans.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the CarFest marketing campaign, creating awareness and buzz with the ultimate objective of selling tickets for CarFest event. This is a huge opportunity to work within one of the most exciting and charitable events in the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Marketing Team on the creation, development and implementation of the marketing and communications plan in order to achieve event objectives
• Help maintain day-to-day relationships with agencies and suppliers including design and creative, ticketing, print and media buying, and PR
• Project manage digital marketing channels, creating and delivering content across:

Website – manage and update appropriately

Email Campaigns – write, build and launch regular emails to database using our newsletter platform Dot Digital

Social Media – work closely with a social media agency to deliver a successful organic and paid social media campaign

• Copywriting for email and print campaigns
• Liaising with talent, venues, exhibitors and supporters to maximise third-party marketing
• Liaising with suppliers to ensure all deadlines are met and projects delivered on budget
• Brainstorming, exploring and implementing new routes to market the events
• Respond to visitor enquiries received by email and social media

Skills, Attributes and Experience

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

• Proactive and able to work both well as part of a team and independently
• Strong copywriting and creative skills
• Have an eye for detail
• An eye for design and Photoshop/ Canva experience preferable
• Experience in building and sending emails in Email Marketing platform ‘DotDigital’ or other similar platform
• Time Management skills
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work with all team members (from the most junior to the most senior)
• Strong Interpersonal skills, excellent communicator and a sensitive approach to customer enquiries
• Word, Powerpoint and Excel skills and knowledge
• The ability to be able to raise and manage purchase orders is preferable
• PR and/or Social Media related experience or knowledge is preferable
