Daniel is an adventurer and explorer who seeks out the remote and often dangerous parts of the world.
While in the UK, he is a youth working, managing a team of youth workers to prevent the exploitation of young people in UK Cities and a member of the EFCC emergency fire contingency crew. Since Daniel was 17, he’s embarked on incredible adventures, with his 18th birthday spent in the Sumatran Jungle. Following this, Daniel successfully cycled from Birmingham to Spain in aid of healing Venezuela to raise funds and publicity for their vital work.
In 2022, Daniel crossed the Darien Gap, on the pacific side, which took more than 5 years to plan and culminated in 2 failed attempts. Despite multiple warnings from the Colombian Government that it was too dangerous, due to cartels and the amount that is unknown about the surrounding environment, Daniel continued. His successful trip was also faced with challenges including being abandoned by his guide, stating the Panama police would arrest him if he continued so was left with vague direction into the Jungle and having to pay off members of the gulf clan for permission to continue. He most recently embarked on a canoe trip down the ‘The Rio Negro’ the largest blackwater river in the world, taking 6 weeks travelling through remote parts of the Colombian countryside.
Currently, Daniel is planning to attempt an expedition with a team to Pakistan’s Mountainous Region to look for the Huzza Tribe, the oldest living community. He is also in hoping to develop his firefighting training, whilst also training for an endurance event.

Dragon of the South is a Chinese dragon and lion dance team based in Poole, Dorset.
They train young people to learn and appreciate a part of Asian heritage, encompassing all aspects of the art, including music and dance performance, within traditional values.
Their performances are rooted in the belief of scaring away bad luck, demons, and bad fortune while ushering in good luck, happiness, and prosperity.
Traditionally, the lion blesses green leaves, such as lettuce, and throws them to the audience as a symbol of good fortune.
However, in the UK, Dragon of the South has adapted this tradition by blessing Fortune Cookies and tossing them to the audience.
This Westernized twist adds a bit of fun, offering a delightful surprise for those lucky enough to catch a cookie.

Mary Lamb is a force of nature, grandmother of nine and undertakes all manner of adventures with the support of her family and of course, the help of her specially-trained assistance dogs from charity, Dogs for Good.
Mary has a rare, hereditary neuromuscular condition which means she doesn’t have too much use of her arms or legs. Her current dog, Sheldon, helps by picking up items she drops, fetching things she needs and even helps her with the laundry! Above all, her dogs have given a zest for life.
So much so that over the last 10 years she has taken on some pretty full-on fundraising challenges including indoor sky dives, zipping the longest and fastest zip wire in Wales and a bit of casual abseiling.
In June this year, with support from Škoda, she undertook her biggest adventure yet – the Three Peaks Challenge. In true Mary style, the fact that she’d be the first woman in a wheelchair to ever achieve it was never the driver for her. Fundraising £30k to support the cost of training and supporting an assistance dog through its life with someone was always her top priority.
Mary has been partnered with four dogs from Dogs for Good and says that without them, she wouldn’t be able to live as independently, confidently or fully as she does. So, raising money in this way could give someone else the opportunity to make life possible.
As genuine travel has become easier and easier, true adventure has inevitably become ever more elusive. Enter Lucy Shepherd.
Lucy is an Explorer. Named by The Times as ‘The most hardcore member of the new generation of British adventurers.’ Shepherd is the real deal and at the forefront of modern exploration. From mountain ranges to tropical rainforests, to the Arctic tundra, she is plotting a thrilling, inimitable path for herself.
Her message? Adventure is a mindset, not a moment.
Aged just twenty-three, Lucy was made a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society for her ground-breaking exploration work, and she is also the youngest member of the council of the Scientific Exploration Society, one of the world’s oldest exploration charities.
Lucy made a mark on the global stage after successfully leading and completing a pioneering jungle expedition across an isolated part of the Amazon. Lucy and her team of indigenous Amerindians spent 50 days moving through uncharted and untouched jungle, facing dangers every single day.
With an ever-growing media profile, multiple documentaries in the works, many places left to visit, and millions still to inspire, you can be certain that she will continue to be a vital presence on the world stage for decades to come.

Join us for a hands-on experience inspired by The OARburn Rowers daring Guinness World Record attempt!
Imagine this: you've finally gone to sleep after rowing for 15 hours straight, and suddenly you hear the boat's alarm! Another ship is heading straight for you, and you're about to collide with a mega shipping container! You must quickly scramble out of your sleeping bag, don an immersion survival suit, navigate through a cramped cabin door, and jump on the oars to change course as fast as you can. It's a race against time that promises excitement and a taste of the oceanic challenge Kyle faces in just a few months! Best of all, it's free to participate, and there are awesome prizes up for grabs for the quickest to avoid collision!
Kyle Meredith, a red-headed adventurer, is embarking on a groundbreaking and Guinness World Record setting solo, non-stop, unsupported 4000-mile row across the Atlantic Ocean, from Africa (Morocco) to North America (Miami). This unprecedented journey is more than a physical challenge; it’s a mission and commitment to raise awareness about skin cancer, particularly among those in construction, agriculture and outdoor enthusiasts.
Kyle's motivation is deeply personal, both with Granddad Michael succumbed to Stage 4 Melanoma during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 and given that fellow redheads are ten times more likely to develop the disease purely due to genetics. Follow Kyle's inspiring adventure (@TheOARburnRower) and support his cause for a world where early detection saves lives!

The Wildlife Aid Foundation is an animal charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of British wildlife.
They are passionate about protecting the future for our native species.
The foundation runs one of the UK’s busiest wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centres deal with over 20,000 wildlife-related incidents, each year. On any day, their rescuers will be scaling trees to rescue stranded baby owls or cutting fox cubs from garden netting. Their vets will be performing life-saving surgery, while our carers look after hundreds of patients and young babies being nursed in our rehab centre. Each and every animal plays its own part in preserving the balance of nature. At WAF, no British wild animal, from any species, is ever turned away if it needs our help.
Visit Wildlife Aid Foundation in the Conservation Zone to learn about their incredible work and their iDot Initiative (I do one thing) which encourages us all to proactively support wildlife by pledging support. There will be plenty of hands-on learning activities such as nature ID quizzes, make your own bug hotels, bird feeders, wildflower seed bombs, window decals.
