THE FESTIVAL DASH PRESENTED BY NISSAN

The legendary Festival Dash is back! It’s your opportunity to run 2.5k in a funky costume and raise money for our wonderful charity partners, all at the same time! The Festival Dash is the best way to kick start your Sunday morning, at cinch presents CarFest.

This year, we’ve partnered with Nissan for The Festival Dash, as they promote the work of the Nissan Possibilities Project, which is built on the core belief of making excitement possible and accessible for all. The project uses Nissan’s technologies, resources, and expertise to create more opportunities for people from underrepresented communities, with a specific focus on supporting disability inclusion and LGBTQ+ initiatives.

This year, Nissan and the Possibilities Project will be bringing their ambassador Richard Whitehead to help Chris kickstart The Festival Dash and encourage visitors with physical mobility impairments to join in the run and prove that anything is possible! You can run, shuffle, walk, wheel or even be pushed around the track… everyone is welcome to join in the fun!

Richard is a double amputee and a world record holder for the Half and Full marathon for a double leg amputee and a Double Paralympic Gold medallist (2012, 2016). He also won silver in the T61 200m at the Tokyo Paralympics. Since 2021 Richard has been a Nissan Diversity, Equity and Inclusion ambassador helping support the Nissan Possibilities Project initiatives including working with Nissan and his charity The Richard Whitehead Foundation, to provide running prosthetics and support to young amputees.

Nissan will be showcasing the work of The Possibilities Project at CarFest and encouraging people with any impairment to join the run. Meet them at The Festival Dash registration point to learn more about the amazing work of The Possibilities Project.
